I'm currently looking for a set of Boots of the Traveler (after I accidently went to the moon) and some amber. I don't have much in the way to trade though, so it'd need to be on a bartering basis (I.e. I have lots of crap, but I don't know what any of its worth...). =P

Ah tah. I don't know how to use any of the stuff in this mod package bar the machines, and well I'm wanting to try something different so I'm not using though. Thus right now I'm just going about collecting random items and hoping their useful. Unfortunately that means I'm a tad under equipped at the moment. Thaumcraft can be done independently of the other mods right? Ie I don't need to have the basic gear from another one to start up it easily?

^^ I did kill a lich in the Twilight Forest once I realised you needed to left click instead of right click to kill it though.

Oh, do portals from a portal gun work inter age? I've yet to bother trying, but that may prove useful for exploring the cave age.

Nah portal guns don't work between ages.

But it would work betweent he Thaumcraft Tower and my Science lab, which is where Id put them (Assuming a Portal isnt too 'Science')

Eurr... Depends on the portal. Nether and Myst portals are, of course, perfectly fine. Portal gun portals... Probably not.

Wyrmy, remember, write a book about your journey into Thaumcraft! And yes, it's pretty much independant. First thing you want is a Shard- any Shard. Use that, a stick, and a gold nugget, to make a Wand of the Apprentice. Then start right-clicking stuff to see what happens.

why not PortalGun Portals? Ill keep it hidden...

Uh, such a book would amount to. "Found another village, no.804. Ran in quickly, stole the villager's possessions, whilst remarking on the odd architecture decisions (like having your well twenty blocks in the air), before running on to the next one and leaving the villagers to wonder what that was about".

I've got something like twenty link books here if you're wanting them for that linking room you mentioned btw. The details I have on them is what's at the other end (Village, field with Greatwoods, mushroom biome, etc), their coords and if they have a known owner (one of them may be you'rs). I would recommend you go to the other end and add more details though (ie contains Mystcraft villagers, Silverwood, vis levels, etc) on a separate sign or whatever though ...and a lectern with a linkbook. =P

Actually I have a brilliant idea.
Make a sky blue world that is mainly an island biome, but instead of water... Its lava.

Lava World.

Also to ensure we do not shrink the end. Could we have an End Biome in a mysticraft world, so we don't destroy the public one....

also Darknnit i was going through my village and I noticed something odd. All the villagers were gone, and I checked around, and it seems they have all died..... Except for one. Which I was able to save before he was massacred by a zombie horde. I was wonderin if i could get a villager spawn egg. A single one. :p

@ Asher- I think that may be your own fault for not fortifying your village properly. Lights and walls, folks!

@ Wyrm- that's perfectly fine! Do that- have a book about your travels through random villages. Make an atlas, or a journal of your journeys. I just need stuff to fill those shelves, and I'd prefer if they were actual readable books.

Gregtech makes the End infinite - there are end asteroids out in the void. Start making flying frame machines! (Still no quarrying the main end island though).

I'm not making Lava world. The nether exists. A non-hostile lava source world is overpowered.

That may have been caused by me. I passed through your village whilst making books for them all and so may have caused a siege. =/

I did. But one day i get back from being gone for a bit, and i had counted 5 villagers, i found one, out of the five.

I was joking about the lava world though. But a regular world would be cool. But making it more difficult and more prettier would be cool. So there are no ores, just cobblestone, wood, dirt.

I like the underground world, I was actually thinking of this

Also for good survival training try this map before going to the underground world on the server.

as of late i have been using the ultimate pack on my world and may have bitten off more than i can chew in deciding to build an ethopian spawning tower in the center of a 20X20 chunk spawning null zone to achive perfect rates but the enormity of the task and the storage requirements for it are unreal, also just realised that i need a cart system to effectivley move arround the 320X320 area i have set out for my self, so does anyone know of an effective design for a rail station to place centraly in the base, it does not matter how much resources it takes, i got them up the wazoo.

Build a giant fly.

So everyone, I am making a giant underground castle in the cave age, so I am building a massive castle, I will need... Lava. Lots of lava. Any other suggestions? Its suppose to be the home of a firelord.

So i would love to have a hell under ground basically.

I found a huge nok perfect for the castle.

If you're making a Fire Lord's castle... Shouldn't it be in the Nether?

Lava gates or pumping lava out of an existing pool I think are your options. I filled in a room yesterday with buckets of lava from Darkinnit's pump and it took a good while.

Oh and castles look better in caves. There's already enough forts in the nether. (Or maybe I just hate the nether that much...)

Are we using the normal recipes for the macerator or gregtech

Also logged on to have a creeper explode in my face, fixed the damage as well as I could.

Yaaaaay so I am edge of the map away from spawn, I need supplies and the only recipe to get them means I have to trudge 3 days back to spawn to the nether.

docta, why no linkbooks?

Because I never was in the beta, only started in Ultimate, and I don't know anything but IC2. Thats why GT is such an annoyance, and its not just IC2 it affects, but buildcraft and redpower as well. So pretty much machines are dropped out for me.

then I suggest you take a look at linkbooks, they're easy to use and let you teleport around

Also take a look at the Pulveriser (needs Buildcraft MJ power, so a stirling or hobbyist steam engine will get you started) or the Quartz Grind Stone (needs right clicking power, for that manual labour feel)

Thermal expansion is worth looking into Dr. The pulveriser that dark suggested is basically a better macerator.

Its also a pretty quick mod to learn.

Darkinnit, can I either get an Inventory reset to 17:30 or a Blue/Orange Portal Gun? I was refilling the lava at spawn and had placed a portal next to your lava pool. When I used the portal to your cave it spawned me in lava instead of on the dirt above it (which is a common occurrence, but its usually a visual glitch, it doesn't physically place you in the block below). =/
